Ingredients:

4 teaspoons cornstarch (tepung

1 cup evaporated skim milk, scalded

Sweetener to equal 4 teaspoons sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:

Mix cocoa, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
*
Stir cocoa mixture into scalded milk.
*Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
*Add sweetener and vanilla, mixing well.
*Divide into 2 large custard dishes.

Ingredients:

4 cups peeled, sliced apples

˝ cup water or apple juice

4 teaspoons firmly packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons lemon juice

˝ cup oats

1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon margarine, melted
Directions:
*
Heat oven to 375.
* Combine apples, water, brown sugar, lemon juice, and
cinnamon;
* Toss lightly to coat apples. *Arrange apples in an 8 inch square baking
dish.
* Combine remaining ingredients: mix well. Sprinkle over apples.
* Bake
about 30 minutes or until
apples are tender and topping is browned. Serve warn or chilled.

Pie
Ingredients:
1/4 teaspoon salt
˝ teaspoon cinnamon
˝ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
1/8 teaspoon anise flavoring
1 unbaked 9 inch Nut Crumble-Top Piecrust
Directions:
* Add a little apple concentrate to moisten cornstarch; simmer remaining
concentrate and apple slices in a saucepan until apples are almost
tender.
* Add cornstarch mixture
and
simmer stirring until thickened; stir in seasonings.

Pour into unbaked piecrust; crumble remaining pastry over the top of
fruit; cover fluting with a strip of foil lightly pressed over edges.

How to make Company Pastry Shell
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour

˝ teaspoon salt

1/3 cup vegetable shortening

3 to 4 tablespoons ice water
Directions:
* Preheat oven to 400 Combine flour and salt.
* Cut in shortening until particles
are about the size of small peas. Gradually add ice water, stirring with fork
just until a ball begins to from.
* Roll out between two sheets of waxed paper.
Place pastry in 9 - inch pie pan, flute edges, and prick pastry with a fork.

Bake for about 10 minutes, or until pie shell is lightly browned.
Orange Cream Pie
Ingredients:
- ˝ cup frozen orange juice

2 eggs Yolks, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons flour

4 teaspoons butter or margarine, melted

1 cup evaporated skim milk

1 teaspoon dry natural butter flavored granules

2 egg whites, beaten until stiff peaks form
Directions:
*Prepare Bread Crust or Shell of Pie
* Preheat oven to 370.
* Mix orange juice concentrate, egg yolks, flour
butter, and natural butter-flavored granules.
*
Add milk, stirring well. Gently fold in beaten egg white;
pour into Bread Crust.
* Bake pie for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 50
minutes or until lightly browned on top.
Heart-Shaped Sponge Cake

Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water

2 cups flour
-
3 t. baking powder
-
1/2 t. salt
-
6 eggs, separated
-
1/2 t. cream of tartar
-
2 cups sugar
-
1 t. vanilla
Directions:
*Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat egg whites with
cream of tartar.
*Add 1/2 cup of the sugar. Set aside.
Beat egg yolks until blended. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat 4 to 5
minutes.
Add dry ingredients, egg whites and warm water.
*Bake in a greased and floured heart-shaped tube pan.
Bake in a 350 oven for 60 to 70 minutes.

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all -purpose flour
1 1/2 cups quick or old - fashioned, uncooked oats

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder
-
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

1/3 cup margarine
-
6-ounce package diced, dried mixed fruit
-
1/2 cup milk
-
1 eggs, slightly beaten
-
1 tablespoon sugar mixed with 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon.
Directions:
*Heat oven to 375*. In a medium bowl, combine first 5 ingredients;
mix well. *With a pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture resmbles
coarse crumbs; stir in fruit. Add milk and egg, mixing just until
moistened.
*Shape dough to form a ball. turn out onto floured surface; knead
gently 6 times.
*On lightly greased cookie sheet, pat out dough to form an 8 inch
circle. With sharp knife, lightly score round into 12 wedges,
sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 30 minutes or until
golden brown.
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Make for 9 - 10 servings
Explore your artistic talents when arranging the pineapple - try
cutting the slices in half or quarters and arrange them in any way
you wish. For a more conventional presentation, place the pieces in
circles or arrange them like spakes of a wheel.
Directions:
- 1/4 cup stick margarine or butter*

2/3 cup packed brown sugar

1 can (20 ounces) sliced pineapple in juice, drained
-
Marschino cherries, if desired
-
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour**

1 cup granulated sugar
-
1/3 cup shortening
-
3/4 cup milk
-
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1 large egg
-
Sweetened whipped Cream , if your disire
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350.
2. Melt margarine in 10-inch ovenproof skillet or square pan, 9x9x2
inches, in oven.
Sprinkle brown sugar over margarine. Arrange pineapple slice on
brown sugar. Place cherry in center of each pineapple slice
(Cherries
with stems can be added after baking)
3. Beat remaining ingredients except Sweetened Whipped Cream with
electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat on high speed 3 minute, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour over
pineapple.
4. Bake skillet 45 to 50 minutes, square pan 50 to 55 minutes, or
until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Immediately turn upside down onto heat-proof plate. Let skillet or
pan remain over cake a few minutes. Serve warm with Sweetened
Whipped Cream.

FILIPINO NOODLES

Directions:
- 1/2 kg rice noodles ( soak in
water for 15 minutes
- 1/2 kg Pack of Pancit Canton (
yellow dry noodles)
- 1/2 kg of Cabbage (finely
shredded)
- 1/4 kg Carrot cut in strips
- 1/4 kg Big Red Pepper Strips (not
hot)
- 1/8 kg Green Peas in pods
- 1 can Button Mushrooms sliced
- 1/2 kg Tofu fry and slice into
strips.
- 1 Garlic ( Big head) chopped
- 2 Bulbs Onion slice
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 Soy Sauce
- 1 cup Celery chopped
Directions:
*Heat oil in large frying
pan. Add garlic, onions and cook gently for 3 minutes Add red bell pepper,
mushrooms, tofu and soy sauce. Add five cups of water and 1/4 tsp black
pepper. Bring to boil.
*Add Yellow rice noodles,(pancit),
green pea pods, cabbage, carrots and celery. Mix well until done.
*Springkle with green spring fry
onions before serving.

- Potato Potpie
Ingredients:

4 cups cubed potatoes

2 cups water

2 eggs, beaten

1 tablespoon oil

1 medium onion, chopped

1 can (4-oz) mushroom pieces

drained (save liguid)

2 tablespoon flour
-
1 teaspoon seasoning
-
1/4 teaspoon of salt

1 can condensed mushroom soup

1 can Dinner cuts or vegetable skallops, cut in strips

wheat Germ Piecrust
Prosedure:
*BOIL potatoes in the water until nearly done.
*SCRAMBLE eggs in the oil, breaking them up as they cook; add onion and
mushrooms; brown silightly
ADD flour and seasonings; stir smooth; add mushroom liquid.
*DRAIN water from potatoes and combine with mushroom soup; add to skillet
mixture and stir smooth; add more water if necessary to make a medium
gravy.
ARRANGE potatoes and Dinner cuts in an oiled baking dish; pour the gravy
over; cover with wheat Germ Piecrust.
Bake at 425 F. 25 to 30 minutes

Wheat Germ Piecrust
Ingredients:
Directions:
*Mix flour, wheat germ, and salt.
*ADD oil and crumble together until texture of fine crumbs
*Sprinkle with just enough water to moisten.
*Mix only enough to moisten dry ingredients.
*Press firmly into a ball
*Flatten and Roll out between waxed paper; slit or prick for steam to
escape.
Potato Salad
Ingredients:
- 4 medium-size potatoes, boiled, peeled,
diced
- 1 hard-boiled egg, shredded
- 1/2 medium-size carrot, grated
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon raisins
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 to 6 lettuce leaves
Directions: *Mix
all ingredients except lettuce. Chill. Line bowl with lettuce leaves and
spoon in mixture. *Serve cold.
Good for 6 to 8 persons. 1/2 cup per serving

- 1 can choplets (save liquid)

1 large onion

2 large potatoes

2 carrots

1package frozen peas

4 eggs, hard-boiled

1 can mushrooms

4 cups milk
-
2 tablespoons margarine
-
6-8 tablespoons flour
-
salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon curry powder
Directions: *Chop vegetables into fairly good-sized pieces.
saute choplets in oil. Cook Vegetables in small amount of water
until tender. *Make gravy with juices, milk, and flour. (Here's how;
melt margarine over low fire then blend in flour, stirring to a
smooth paste. *Add liquid, milk, salt, and curry and magy block and
cook until thick)
Add choplets and vegetables to gravy mixture, along with chopped
eggs.
Heat thoroughly, serve with rice.
MOCK DRUMSTICKS
Ingredients:

thoroughly.
*Shape into balls, roll in ground nuts. Serve on toothpicks.
